SOMETHING (prose)

Within the tragedy of forgotten mementos
Cast aside as burdens in the estate lots
Shelved pieces in a dark antique store corner
Lay what catches eye, beyond shadows
Of doubts; in brilliant effervescence, refusing rot,
This beautiful Something, tossed by mourners –
Perhaps without thought ---
Like a beautiful spiral or flower
With depths of an abyss to light
A stained glass amoeba caught ---
A loving creation of many hours
As a piece of hope so bright…
So as it speaks softly for new residence,
Did I dare and bring it to anew
Gratitude to make acquaintance

To the creator’s precious, hope filled views…
